In 2001 the Deuce was the styling flagship of the Softail range — the stretched tank and 21-inch front wheel that made it the one people pointed at in the showroom while the Fat Boy did the volume.

Our take: One of the prettiest Softails ever drawn. The Deuce is the bike people stop to look at twice — hence the name.

The Deuce buyer has taste and patience. They want the early-2000s Willie G design moment — the last era of pure styling-first Harleys — and they'd rather have one beautiful thing than three adequate ones. They own a proper garage broom.

Period press called the Deuce the best-styled Softail of its generation, full stop — the counter-balanced Twin Cam 88B praised for smoothing the ride without dulling it. Two decades later it's remembered exactly that way: the pretty one.
