HJC was founded in South Korea in October 1971 and has built helmets — only helmets — ever since. It started selling under its own name in the United States in 1986, and by 1992 it had the biggest market share in North America.
HJC tests its designs in its own wind tunnel lab and builds them in factories in Korea and Vietnam, from youth and off-road lids to the premium RPHA line.
